This course goes beyond the “Primary Survey” (Life Saving) and teaches the “Secondary Survey” (Diagnosis).
1. Major Illness Management
You will learn to recognize and manage conditions that are invisible but deadly:

- You want to be a First Aid Instructor: This Level 3 FAW is the prerequisite qualification you need before you can learn to teach first aid to others.
This is NOT for you if:
- You work in a tiny office: If you work in a library with 3 people, the 1-Day course is likely sufficient.
- You want a “Refresher”: If you already hold a valid FAW certificate that is about to expire, you can take the 2-Day Requalification course instead of the full 3 days.
Overcoming the “Hidden” Obstacles

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What happens if my certificate expires?
If your FAW certificate expires, you are no longer a qualified First Aider. If you expire by more than a month, you usually have to retake the full 3-day course rather than the 2-day refresher.
Does this cover Paediatric (Child) First Aid?
No. This is “First Aid at Work” (Adults). If you work in a nursery or school, you need the Level 3 Paediatric First Aid course.
Is this course higher level than EFAW?
Yes. Both are “Level 3” on the framework, but FAW has significantly more credits and learning hours (18 hours vs 6 hours). FAW supersedes EFAW.
